BRIAN WELLS

Head Coach

Played high school football at Mason High School and collegiately at Tiffin University. Played semi-pro football for the Northern Kentucky Raiders (1994-1997), Kings Comets (1999, 2004), Miami Valley Dolphins (1994) and Kentucky Stallions (2002). Earned Honorable Mention All-League (MCFL) in 1994, 1997 and participated in the MCFL All-Star game in 2005. Earned Honorable Mention All-League (OVFL) in 2002. Inducted to the Minor League Football Hall of Fame in 2008 and Cincinnati Semi-Pro Hall of Fame in 2009. Co-Founder of the Kings Comets (semi-pro) in 1998 also serving as the Head Coach and General Manager in 1998-1999, 2004-2006 and in 2009 making the playoffs every year. MCFL Coach of the Year in 2009 after winning the MCFL Championship for the Kings Comets with an 11-1 -0 record. Overall Head Coaching record for the Comets 38-21-0. Served as a scout for the Dayton Skyhawks (IFL) in 2000, Tight Ends Coach at Thomas More College (NCAA D-III) in 2001-2002 where TMC went undefeated (2001) advancing to the NCAA D-III Sweet 16. Began coaching professionally in 2003 with the expansion Cincinnati Swarm (af2) serving as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel, Assistant Head Coach, Special Teams Coordinator and FB/LB’s Coach where his special teams unit had league high (8) kick returns for touchdowns and the number one ranked special teams unit. Served as Special Teams Assistant for the Louisville Fire (af2) in 2004. Was hired as the Head Coach of the Dayton Warbirds (NIFL) during the 2005 off-season, prior to ownership change to Dayton Bulldogs. Became Director of Player Personnel, Assistant Head Coach, Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach for the Cincinnati Marshals (NIFL) in 2006 where again had the number one ranked special teams unit and tied the indoor football record for kick return touchdowns (11) in a season. Has also served as training camp guest coach for the Cincinnati Bengals (2001, 2003 and 2005).

LARRY BYNDON


Offensive Coordinator

Played high school football at Western Hills where he was 1st team All-City (1993), earning a scholarship to Michigan State. Played semi-pro football with the Kentucky Stallions (1999-2002), Cincinnati Ravens (2003), KY/OH Xtreme (2008) and Kings Comets (2004-2009). Played professionally with the Cincinnati Marshals (NIFL) in 2006-2007. Earned 1st team All-League (OVFL) in 1999-2001, Honorable Mention All-League (OVFL) in 2002, 3rd team All-City (CincySemiPro), Honorable Mention All-League (MCFL) and Honorable Mention All-American (SemiProBCS) in 2009. Member of the Cincinnati Semi-Pro Hall of Fame.

CHICO LOCKHART

Defensive Coordinator
Played high school football in Plantation, Florida. 1st team All-WVIAC at West Virginia Wesleyan in 1994 and 1995. Played semi-pro football for the Cincinnati Jets (1999-2000), Cincinnati Ravens (2001-2003) and Kings Comets (2004-2009). Earned 1st team All-League (OVFL) in 1999-2003, 2nd team All-American (AFA) in 2001, 1st team All-League (MCFL) and 3rd team All-American (National Football Events) in 2004.


TOMMY SEWELL

Defensive Assistant
Played high school football at Western Hills and collegiately at Ball State. Won the 1991 John Hodge Award at Ball State for Most Outstanding Freshman. Played semi-pro football with the Northern Kentucky Raiders (1992-1996), Cincinnati Jets (2000), Cincinnati Ravens (2001-2003), Kings Comets (2004-2005, 2007-2009) and KY/OH Flames (2006). Played professionally with the Dayton Bulldogs (NIFL) in 2006. Earned 1st team All-City (CincySemiPro), 1st team All-League (MCFL), 2nd team All-American (SemiProBCS) and 1st team All-American (National Football Events) in 2009.


JOHN DRURY

Assistant Coach
Played basketball at Roger Bacon High School. Played semi-pro football with the Kings Comets (1998-1999); won Most Improved Player in 1998.
